Safetyhood complies to the New British & European guidelines and standards CWA 161006:2010 for terrorism CBRN event and industrial accident or fire published by BSI in March 2010.The hood also provides copmpliance to the new Fire Safety Regulations (employee capabilities) launched April 6th 2010

The Safetyhood provides victims and potential victims with potentially life saving protection during escape from hazardous or toxic atmoshperes.

At a cost of  £15 and small enough to fit in a purse or shirt pocket it can be carried at all times and complies to new standards allowing emergency issue  for escape purposes.

The Safetyhood will provide a minimum of 15 minutes protection through toxic atmospheres but can last longer depending on concentration.

The new guidance provides notes on the threat stakeholder duties and types of equipment which should be made available to employees, visitors to their buildings or facilities and could affect a large percentage of European workplaces and meeting venues.

The threat of bio-terroism and CBR chemical biological radiological agents has been declared to be with us for 30 years. The safety hood was designed to protect the citizen and provides escape protection against terrorist CBR agents smoke and dust. Fitted with a multiple filter and sealing around the neck it provides better protection than a respirator although for only 20 to 30 minutes. This should be enough time to escape through the contaminate.

Although death may be unlikely, chronic health effects may result from exposure to contaminates.  Escape routes may often be through contamination such as smoke, asbestos, or CBR agents.The safetyhood provides emergency escape protection wherever you are with the low cost pocket respirator. The possibility of flu pandemic, SARS and Swine or other emerging or developing disease requires adequate PPE personl protective equipement.
